                  An alumni association is an organized group of former students who come together to foster a sense of community, support their alma mater, and promote professional and personal development among its members. These associations serve as a vital link between graduates and their educational institutions, creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration.

                  Founded on the principles of camaraderie and mutual support, an alumni association provides a platform for members to connect, share experiences, and give back to the institution that shaped their lives. Whether through organizing events, offering career resources, or facilitating community service initiatives, alumni associations play a crucial role in maintaining the bonds formed during school years.

                 The primary goals of an alumni association include enhancing the personal and professional growth of its members, supporting current students through mentorship and resources, and fostering a culture of giving back to the institution. By creating a vibrant and engaged alumni network, these associations contribute to the continued success and reputation of their schools, colleges, or universities.

FORMATION

The concept of alumni association evolved for needs from both the ends, i.e. academicians and professionals, in the aim of building a bridge between college life and career life, so that the fresher graduates are made proactive to face the current challenges of competitive professional world. Both the ends shall work hand in hand to help each other for achieving the goal. The idea took shape and formation of Alumni Association turned into reality.

The Alumni Association of Govt. Degree College, Amadalavalasa.  was formed on the auspicious Republic day of 23^rd January 2020, named as “PURVA VIDHYARDULA SANGHAM, PRABUTWA DEGREE KALASALA, AMADALAVALASA” in the presence of Dr. G. Lachanna, Principal, and Smt. P. Asta Lakshmi Coordinator of the Alumni Committee, other faculty members and many enthusiastic former students of the college. It was registered  on 1st August 2022, with the Number 211 of  2022

OUR MISSION:

 To re-unite in the nest from where we grew and flew off.

 To build a bridge between college life and career life, so as introduce present students to the professional world and to make them proactive to face the challenges that may emerge in their career path.

To provide job opportunities to fresh bachelors through references of professionals.

PLAN OF ACTION:

         Conducting periodic meetings of the committee to chalk out plan of action.

• Conducting social welfare activities such as blood donation, health awareness programs, tree plantation, cleanliness drive etc.
• Re-unions of ex- students.
• Felicitation of achievers.
