BEST PRACTICES

The Department of Economics, as a part of Best Practice, makes subscription to a daily News Paper EENADU.

Paper reading is one of the best practices for all people. It is very important and one should definitely develop such a habit at the student age.

The students of Government College, Amadalavalasa are from rural poor background. Hence it will be beneficial for them if they are provided a daily news paper in regional language.

The Government College, Amadalavalasa is a small college and financially weak to pay subscriptions to News Papers and Magazines

SELF ASSESSMENT OF TIME UTILISATION AND TIME MANAGEMENT

“Economics is the science of scarcity and Choice “

---- Lionel Robbins

The basic principles of Economics are Allocation and Optimisation.  It is a regular practice of the Economics Department to explain the importance of time. The main intention of this practice is to make use of their limited time in a proper manner.

Under this practice, students are asked to prepare a chart of their daily chores on hourly basis. This is made for 10 days X 24 hours. They are asked to write sincerely as it is only for self assessment. After 10 days, they come to know how they are spending their time. This enables them to analyse themselves whether they are using their valuable time properly or not. It is promised that the details are never seen by any other person.

At the end of the assessment period, students are suggested to write their own evaluation report.

The Department suggests them to plan and prepare a time table for studies as well as to improve their skills for future career growth.
